The environment is very important to us, which is why we are always concerned with taking new climate-neutral and environmentally friendly measures.
Here you will find an excerpt of our most recent measures.
E-motors in our company fleet
We have expanded our company fleet! As a manufacturer of electric motors, it goes without saying that we rely on electric drives. Therefore, from now on we will use the Tesla Model 3 and the VW UP-E for company trips and business trips.
Our new domed roof
For our employees and the environment, we have renewed our domed roof. Our entire production hall is now flooded with natural daylight.
The use of natural daylight saves energy. Thanks to the additional insulation of the flat roof, energy is now used even more efficiently.
Ceiling fans for heat circulation
With our renewed ceiling fans, we ensure the necessary heat circulation in our production halls. In summer, the fresh air that flows into the production hall through the open cupola roof is distributed and provides the necessary cooling. In winter, heating costs can be saved through the efficient spread of the heating air.
Photovoltaic system on our flat roof
Sustainable production – that’s what Kern Antriebstechnik relies on.
Almost half of the flat roof (approx. 1200m²) of the Kern Antriebstechnik company is used as an area for a photovoltaic system. We use 100% of the energy gained from this for energy consumption in production and for the offices.
Save energy with new server power supplies
With regard to our new server, we rely on the best technology. The highly efficient system is based on the latest storage technology. This is not only 10 times faster than its predecessor, but also has 94% energy efficiency on the server power supplies.
Participation in energy audit
Kern Antriebstechnik GmbH has carried out an energy audit according to DIN EN 16247-1 in accordance with Section 8 of the Energy Services Act (EDL-G). The aim of the federal government’s energy audit is to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption under professional supervision.
